A great little roaster that roasters coffee quickly with a minimum of smoke. This is a fluid bed roaster which just means the air is constantly moving the beans around. The Fresh Roast SR700 can roast 120 grams or 4.23 oz. at one time.  It's the perfect next step up from roasting on your stovetop and allows you to control the heat and fan speed.  One great thing about this roaster compared to many others is you can see the roasting process happen in the glass roast chamber.  The difference between this model and the SR500 is the ability to use the USB port and hook up the SR700 to your computer and create your own coffee profiles or import profiles made by someone else.  It comes with a roasting program and is also compatible with OpenRoast a great open source coffee roasting program.  With the usb port and software you can repeat your roasting with great accuracy.
